Ruuvi
Shot Insights can use nearby RuuviTag weather data to update your environmental conditions. This is a good option when you want a lightweight sensor in the field and do not want to type the weather by hand.
Use Ruuvi in Shot Insights
Section titled “Use Ruuvi in Shot Insights”- Open Sensors.
- Start a scan for nearby weather sources.
- Wait for your RuuviTag to appear in the list.
- Select it and confirm the current readings look correct.
- Go back to your ballistic tool and use the updated solution.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Ruuvi works best when the tag is close enough to be discovered reliably.
- The app can use the current readings it finds without a long setup process.
- If you move locations, rescan so the app is using the sensor nearest your shooting position.
- Place the tag where it reflects the actual air conditions, not inside a bag or vehicle.
- If the tag is not showing up, give it a moment and scan again.
- If you need live wind-focused workflows, see WindZero.
