Bullet Library

The Bullet Library helps you start from a known bullet instead of typing every field by hand. It is a good first stop when you want a faster setup or a second source to compare against your own notes.

Browse the library

1. Open Ballistics and start a new profile.
2. Choose Bullet Library.
3. Pick a manufacturer.
4. Narrow the list by caliber.
5. Select the bullet that matches your load.

Search for the sample load

For the worked example used across these docs, look for:

1. Hornady
2. 0.264 (6.5mm)
3. 147gr ELD-M

What happens next

After you choose a bullet, Shot Insights builds a new profile with the bullet details already filled in. You can then confirm the profile name, zero range, muzzle velocity, and reticle units before saving.

Tips

• Match the bullet exactly when you can.
• Use the library as a starting point, then confirm the values against your own rifle and load.
• If your exact load is not listed, use Create a Simple Profile or Create an Advanced Profile.
