App Permissions

Shot Insights works best when you allow Bluetooth and Location during setup. These permissions let the app connect to supported devices and use distance-aware features that depend on your phone’s location services.

If you are unsure, it is usually best to allow the prompts when they appear. You can always review or change the choice later in your phone settings.

• Bluetooth helps Shot Insights connect with supported sensors and ShotCaller hardware.

Best time to allow them

The smoothest setup is:

1. Install the app.
2. Create an account.
3. Accept Bluetooth and Location when Shot Insights asks.
4. Continue with Your first ballistic profile.

If you tapped “Don’t Allow”

You can turn permissions back on in your phone settings. The exact labels vary by device, but the general fix is the same:

1. Open your device settings.
2. Find Shot Insights in your app list.
3. Turn Bluetooth and Location access back on.
4. Return to the app and try again.
